Movies

Movies

So, we woke up early today and watched some movies. Yes, folks, movies. Plural. As in 4.

I will not put in spoilers today. Too late. Too tired. And no mood for long talk. “Small talk” as one would say. ;)

Harry Potter: The Prisoner of Azkaban
For a 100-or-so-pages book, they really did good in putting it all together in 2.5-3 hours. The important parts are there, and the story flowed freely. I must say I really like the last part.

The Day After Tomorrow
Wow. This got me jumping out of my seat. I must say this is as good as Independence Day and that another similar movie (the title I can’t recall at the moment) that had a comet crashing down on Earth causing global climate change. I wonder where I would be when another Ice Age comes in. I might be doing what the kids did in the movie.

Shrek 2
Watched about 3/4 into the movie, but from what I could see, it was great.

I found Shrek handsome when he transformed to a human being. I felt like the bar maids wanting to massage his shoulders *giggle*

Troy
Not bad. And I remember part of the history: Helen of Troy: the face that launched a thousand ships, the Trojan Horse, and Achilles’ Heel. I can’t believe Orlando Bloom turned a wuss in this movie. And adorned his Legolas-like archery in this movie. Methinks he’ll never get out of the Legolas image. Where I prefer him to be in FOREVAH!

That’s about it. We could have watched more movies, but I felt a little restless with no computer in my hand. Has it gone this bad? Not good.

  1. “One” was just enjoying the sound of her own fingers clicking against the keys. I guess complaining about stuff if my own version of e-small talk. I don’t dislike it, I just feel even more uncomfortable when it’s happening because someone has just confirmed my own belief that the situation is awkward. I really don’t like thank you cards or Easter dresses, though.

Oh, and sorry you missed the mutant babies at the end of Shrek. That’s one of the best parts.

  2. Personally, I think Orlando did a marvelous job with the role. I mean, what would you do if you were the pansy prince who steals Helen, whisks her to Troy, where you beg your brother, father, and entire nation to fight your battle for you? Have a %@&$ing good time with the role, that’s what! Or, at least, that’s what I’d do, especially considering how many other macho roles there already are in the movie. Variety is the spice of life.
