Houses, houses…

Been house-hunting last Friday and yesterday. Friday, we found the perfect house! We had our agent do the necessary documents to buy it. Minutes later, we found out that the house has been bid on already, meaning it’s been taken. Darn!

So, we had to look again. Lucien had to go without me because I had to go to work. He found another house again that would be good for us, and our agent went and checked on it. Found out that it was taken also 20 minutes before we filed the documents for it. Darn again!

Yesterday, we started looking again. We found this house which was a good one, so now we are waiting to see if we can get it. It turned out that this one was a repo house, so it looks like we have a chance. Lucien is stressing out about it, because he doesn’t want to lose this house.

*crosses fingers at the same time praying to God to give us this break*

Still Here

Yes, I’m still alive. I just have nothing else to talk about lately. I’m still busy at work, blah, blah, still play online games, blah, blah, and spend quality time with my husband, blah blah. So, blah.

We did go celebrate my sister’s birthday yesterday. We went to eat at Saltgrass Steakhouse. Mmm. Good stuff. And then after that, we went to my sister’s house to check out their new game on PS2: Eye Toy.

Oh my, this game was fun! I especially liked the Beat Freak part where it’s kind of like DDR, but you use your hands. We even did the hard mode and did team battles. I must say that I had a pretty good workout there. I’m still sore from it actually.

Other than that, things have been pretty good. We are still looking into getting a house, but this time we need to cough up $6,000 for a downpayment. When we get that, looking for a house will be no sweat. Just have to think where we can come up with some money…

Broken Wooden Pole

The wooden pole that holds up my clothes in my closet gave way. The other end of the support broke off the wall and my clothes all fell on the floor. In result, I had to do a forced clean-up in the closet. It included separating some clothes I have not worn in so long to donate to a thrift store or something.

I haven’t realized I had so many clothes. I remember when I first came to the U.S. 7 years ago, I only had 1 big suitcase of clothes. I’m such a pack rat, that I still had some of the old clothes I had back then.

Lucien thought why not get some boxes to start packing some stuff we’re not going to use for now. So then, we’ll have less packing when we do move to a new house. I said, sure why not. So we got some good boxes, and started packing stuff.

Now my closet it cleaned up, the wooden pole put back in place with a stronger reinforcement for the support. I’m sure that in a few months, my closet will be full again. -groan-

Day 6: Leiza’s 10-Day Escapade

Our credit repair process has begun today. We’ll see what happens to that.

I haven’t been sleeping good lately. It has been a while since I have slept good. I think I only slept about 2 hours today. Though I am tired, I still can’t sleep. It must be because I’m so restless lately.

Been listening to old tapes of mine. It has been a while. I can’t believe I still have my old jamming session tapes. Hopefully I’ll be able to transfer them to a CD soon.

Day 4: Leiza’s 10-Day Escapade

Remember how I said we were looking into houses? Yesterday, Lucien and I were able to talk to a realtor and fortunately for us, she found us a good loan officer.

We eventually went a-house hunting.

I’ve been dreading all these things, because I’ve been thinking about our bad credit, and all the official stuff, but I was surprised to find out that our loan officer was positive about everything. Though we did have a couple of things in our credit we need to settle, he said that we had a good chance in getting a good house before the year was out.

After talking a bit with the loan officer, later on we went with the realtor to go house hunting. We saw about 5 houses and the 2nd and 3rd houses were the ones we thought were the best. Until we decide which one is the best of the two, we will sleep on it.

On Thursday, we will go on towards credit repair. How many loan officers will do this for you? Geez, we sure were lucky.

But tomorrow, I’m all for relaxing again. I think I might be able to watch the new Matrix also. We’ll see how it goes.
